Job Summary

This doctoral position at Heidelberg University’s Institute for Neurobiology offers a unique opportunity to join a German Cancer Aid-funded project focused on the Wnt signaling pathway in choroid plexus brain tumors. As a PhD candidate, you will conduct cutting-edge research using 3D organoid models, hiPSCs, and microfluidic systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing in vitro experiments, immunohistochemistry, and high-resolution imaging such as confocal microscopy. Additionally, you will engage in transcriptomics, proteomics, and bioinformatic data integration with human datasets. Required Skills

Education

Master of Science in Cell Culture, Molecular/Cell Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field

Experience

  • Proven competence in working with hiPSCs, 3D organoids, or microfluidic systems
  • Professional experience in live imaging or confocal microscopy
  • Experience in quantitative image analysis
  • Prior experience in omics sample preparation and data analysis is highly desirable
  • Experience in scientific writing and publication potential
