Job Summary

This part-time position (23.4 hours/week) within the Social Affairs Department of the City of Ulm involves managing critical financial and administrative tasks related to health aid and refugee services. As an Administrative Officer, you will be responsible for the billing of medical assistance with health insurance companies, verifying and booking invoices, and coordinating with various health authorities and medical providers. Additionally, you will handle budgeting and accounting for refugee services, which includes invoice processing, managing cash disbursements, and resolving open items in SAP. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a background in public administration who enjoys working independently while coordinating with multiple departments. The position is offered as a fixed-term parental leave replacement for two years, starting September 1, 2026, and provides an opportunity to work within a decentralized social space concept managing an annual budget of approximately €130 million.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Public Administration Specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Practical experience using standard IT software and administrative systems
