Job Summary

This role involves contributing to the development and testing of the superconducting linear accelerator HELIAC (HElmholtz LInear ACcelerator) at the Helmholtz Institute Mainz. As a Physicist or Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting performance tests on superconducting accelerator cavities for heavy ions and adjusting the natural frequency of the superconducting re-buncher cavity. Your daily activities will include assembling accelerator strings in a cleanroom environment and actively participating in the test operation of the first cryogenic module at GSI. Additionally, you will play a key role in advancing the helium supply systems.
