Job Summary

As a Scientific Associate in the field of Onco-Genetics and Somatic Diagnostics at the amedes Group in Hannover, you will play a critical role in patient-oriented diagnostics. Your daily responsibilities include generating medical reports for molecular (hemato-)oncology and somatic genetics, utilizing state-of-the-art Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology and liquid biopsy analysis. You will be responsible for evaluating somatic variants according to WHO and Tier classifications and optimizing diagnostic pipelines. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to work closely with laboratory information systems and specialized databases to contribute to individual therapy planning. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Biology or a comparable natural science field; a PhD is welcomed but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in (hemato-)oncological or molecular pathological diagnostics
  • Practical experience with molecular biological and genetic procedures, specifically NGS
  • Experience handling peripheral blood, bone marrow, and FFPE samples
  • Experience in evaluating somatic variants and generating medical reports considering therapeutic options
  • Experience using genetic databases and analysis pipelines
