Job Summary

The Faculty of Computer Science at Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) is seeking a part-time IT Technician to support the Information Security research group. In this role, you will manage a diverse hardware and software ecosystem, including PCs, tablets, servers, and specialized cluster environments across Linux, macOS, iOS, and Windows platforms. Your daily responsibilities will range from hardware procurement and network administration to configuring critical services like DNS, DHCP, and virtualization tools such as Docker and VMware. You will provide technical support to staff and students in both German and English.
