This W2 professorship at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences focuses on the intersection of life sciences and micro/nanotechnology. The successful candidate will lead independent teaching in foundational and specialized subjects across Bachelor’s and Master’s programs, including Applied Life Sciences, Chip Technology, and Systems Engineering. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Material Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related field, plus a qualified PhD (Doctorate).
Experience
- Extensive professional experience in the application and development of micro- and nanoscale manufacturing methods in cleanroom environments
- Proven track record of outstanding scientific expertise demonstrated through current publications as first or senior author
- Demonstrated experience in securing third-party research funding
- Experience in the leadership or coordination of research projects
- Significant research experience in diagnostic/therapeutic microsystems, wearables, or intelligent medical sensors
- Proven didactic skills and engagement in university-level teaching
