Job Summary

This W2 Professorship at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences (HSO) offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Digital Health within the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, and Computer Science. Starting in the summer semester of 2027, the successful candidate will lead teaching and research in the new 'Healthcare Management and Digital Health' Bachelor's program. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering high-quality lectures in both German and English, developing specialized laboratories, and conducting application-oriented research in AI methods and machine learning for diagnostics and therapy. Required Skills

Education

Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Natural Sciences, or Engineering; Habilitation or equivalent scientific achievement required for professorship.

Experience

At least 5 years of professional experience following a university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Natural/Engineering Sciences.
At least 3 years of professional experience outside of the university/academic sector.
Extensive practical experience and expertise in AI methods, machine learning, and digital health infrastructure.
Proven track record of scientific work, demonstrated by a high-quality doctorate or equivalent achievement.
Experience in university-level teaching with the ability to deliver courses in English.
