Job Summary

This role involves the coordination and further development of the PhenObs@herbaria network at the Senckenberg Institute for Plant Diversity in Jena. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for the collection, analysis, and publication of phenological data and trait sets from herbarium specimens. Day-to-day duties include managing standardized observation protocols, publishing findings in high-ranking journals, and presenting research at international conferences. You will also play a key role in academic life by supervising student assistants, providing guidance for graduates, and contributing to teaching activities at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
