This role involves coordinating and expanding the 'Insects Hessen' portal to strengthen entomological expertise and biodiversity conservation in Germany. As a Project Coordinator, you will act as a central link between professional scientists, volunteer experts, and public authorities. Your day-to-day responsibilities include managing citizen science networks, initiating new research projects, and organizing training programs to promote species identification skills. You will also oversee data integration with regional platforms and handle public relations to communicate project outcomes. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Biology or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in coordinating scientific or citizen science projects
  • Demonstrated experience in networking with authorities, associations, and volunteer experts
  • Experience in managing and maintaining digital portals or scientific databases
  • Proven track record in public speaking and presenting complex scientific information
  • Experience in organizing educational programs or vocational training
  • Practical experience in insect taxonomy or collection work is preferred
