Job Summary

This collaborative Postdoctoral position, based in Frankfurt am Main, focuses on developing a novel macroecological framework for successional dynamics across various taxonomic groups (plants, fungi, arthropods) and study systems (lava flows, dead wood, etc.). The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing extensive datasets using advanced statistical methods and R, and subsequently publishing high-impact research in international peer-reviewed journals. A critical component of the two-year, fixed-term role is generating funding by developing and submitting a successful research proposal to national or international agencies, thereby establishing an independent research profile. The role requires a PhD in a relevant field, strong expertise in data analysis, and excellent English communication skills, offering a chance to work within Senckenberg's international network dedicated to Biodiversity and Earth System Research.
