Job Summary

This role at Deichmann, a major European footwear retailer, involves developing and operating customer-centric data and feature models to support Machine Learning (ML), CRM, and advanced analytics. You will be responsible for processing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data to design scalable structures like event models and customer snapshots. A significant portion of the day-to-day work focuses on developing robust ML features for models such as Customer Lifetime Value (CLV), churn prediction, and segmentation, ensuring time consistency and production-ready inference. You will collaborate closely with platform teams to maintain data governance and CI/CD standards while translating business requirements into technical concepts from Proof of Concept (PoC) to production. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics); a PhD is considered a plus.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, or Customer Analytics
  • At least 3 years of experience in a productive ML environment
  • Professional experience with versioning, testing, and building scalable data products
  • Proven experience managing ML system issues such as Feature Stability, Data Drift, and Training/Serving Skew
