Job Summary
As a (Senior) Data Engineer for Europe's leading footwear retailer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data landscape from their headquarters in Essen. Your daily responsibilities involve developing and optimizing high-performance data pipelines on the Azure platform, specifically utilizing Azure Databricks. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a modern Data Lakehouse architecture, implementing automated ETL/ELT processes, and ensuring data quality across the entire lifecycle. Working within an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to transform large datasets into actionable insights. Required Skills
Education
Degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development of data solutions, preferably within cloud environments (Azure)
- Extensive experience in building and operating ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools
- Proven expertise in data modeling standards such as Kimball and Data Vault
- Practical experience working with large-scale data transformation and integration
- Experience collaborating with Data Scientists and Analysts in an agile team setting
