Job Summary

As a Data Engineer at Deichmann, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data landscape of one of Europe's most successful footwear retailers. Your daily responsibilities will center on developing and optimizing robust data pipelines within an Azure environment, specifically leveraging Azure Databricks. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a modern Data Lakehouse architecture, implementing automated ETL/ELT processes, and ensuring high data quality and security across the entire lifecycle. Working within an agile team, you will collaborate closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to transform large datasets from diverse sources into actionable insights. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of data solutions, preferably in Azure cloud environments
  • Proven experience in building and operating ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools
  • Extensive experience in data modeling using Kimball or Data Vault standards
  • Practical experience working with large data volumes and diverse source systems
  • Experience working within an agile team environment
