Job Summary

This role involves overseeing and optimizing the core infrastructure of a high-performance computing data center at GWDG. You will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of environmental management systems according to EMAS standards, and supporting certifications such as ISO 27001 and the Blue Engel. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring IT infrastructure for efficiency, capacity planning for new HPC systems, and generating annual environmental reports. You will also manage technical operating parameters with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
