Job Summary

This role involves supporting research at the Institute for Medical Physics and Biophysics within the Center for Soft Nanoscience. As a Biological Technical Assistant, you will manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including maintenance of cell cultures, molecular biology tasks, and protein biochemistry work. Your responsibilities extend to the procurement of supplies, equipment maintenance, and the training of students. You will also be responsible for the computer-aided documentation and evaluation of research results. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA) or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in cell culture techniques
  • Extensive experience in molecular biology and biophysical techniques
  • Proven experience in protein expression using various host systems (bacteria, yeast, insect, and human cells)
  • Practical experience in recombinant protein purification using HPLC or FPLC
  • Experience in laboratory organization and administrative procurement processes
