Job Summary

The Supervisory and Service Directorate (ADD) is seeking a dedicated IT Department Head to lead the 'IT', 'Technical Data Processing', and 'Quality Assurance' units at the Foreign Armed Forces Payroll Office (LaS) in Kaiserslautern. In this leadership role, you will manage a team of 11 employees, overseeing the planning and coordination of information and communication technology tasks. Your daily responsibilities include advising staff on technical matters, managing IT infrastructure procurement, and steering critical IT projects, such as the SAP H4S4 transformation. You will also be responsible for the further development of the Local National Time & Attendance Program (LNTAP). This position offers a crisis-proof career in the German public service with a high degree of stability. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or a completed civil service career examination for the third entry level in Administration and Finance with a focus on Administrative Informatics.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a relevant IT field
  • Professional experience in programming, network technologies, and server administration
  • Leadership experience in managing technical teams is preferred
  • Professional experience within the public administration sector (federal, state, or local) is advantageous
  • Experience with SAP modules and payroll accounting systems is desirable
