Job Summary

As a Laboratory Engineer at the Deggendorf Institute of Technology, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic development and operation of the 'Digital Media' and 'Audiovisual Systems' laboratories. Your daily responsibilities will involve managing laboratory equipment, conducting service work, and providing technical support for interdisciplinary student projects. You will be actively involved in teaching, leading practical training sessions, and creating educational materials. Beyond instruction, you will design technical solutions for AV projects, performing feasibility studies, simulations, and measurement analyses. The role also includes the installation and programming of media technology systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a highly international academic environment with modern IT infrastructure. It is a 2-year fixed-term contract with the prospect of permanent employment, offering flexible working hours, home office options, and the benefits of the German public service (TV-L E10).

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Media Technology, Media Informatics, Event Technology, Applied Informatics, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in audio and video technology, signal processing, and network technology
  • Practical experience in the technical-creative handling of audiovisual media and innovative formats
  • Experience in project planning and system design of complex media technology systems is preferred
  • Experience in teaching, knowledge transfer, or working with students
