Job Summary
This PhD position at the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) focuses on the critical challenge of carbon capture through electrochemical swing adsorption. As a doctoral researcher, you will perform quantum mechanical and machine learning-based simulations to determine CO2 adsorption energies, utilizing self-consistent continuum solvation models. The role involves high-level computational work including Density Functional Theory (DFT) and electronic structure methods. You will collaborate closely with experimental project partners, publish findings in peer-reviewed academic journals, and present your research at scientific conferences. Required Skills
