Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to join the Fraunhofer Institute's Microsimulation and Econometric Data Analysis department, where you will bridge the gap between academic research and practical economic policy. Day-to-day, you will develop quantitative solutions for complex economic questions, particularly regarding income tax, and analyze large socioeconomic micro-datasets. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Economics (VWL) or a closely related field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in applying empirical methods in economic research or consulting
  • Experience in analyzing large socioeconomic micro-datasets
  • Practical experience using statistical software such as Stata, R, or SPSS during studies or previous employment
  • Experience in formalizing legal texts into model structures is preferred
  • Initial experience in programming or a strong willingness to learn Java and Python
