Job Summary
As an IT Software Development Project Manager for the City of Stuttgart's SAP Competence Center, you will lead cross-departmental projects focused on the continuous development and stability of the city's SAP landscape. Your daily responsibilities include managing the full software development lifecycle—from analysis and design to testing and documentation—specifically for SAP solutions. You will work with modern technologies such as ABAP OO, Neptune, and SAPUI5 to build high-impact applications. This role requires a strong technical background to solve complex software issues and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders. Required Skills
Education
University degree in IT or a comparable technical field; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with equivalent experience. Foreign degrees require German recognition/equivalence.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in IT project management and software development for candidates with a university degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in the IT field for candidates with vocational training as an IT Specialist
- Proven experience in leading or sub-leading IT or software projects
- Extensive experience in SAP development and technical system maintenance
- Experience in communicating complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders

- Location: Stuttgart, Germany. Full-time, permanent contract. Public service pay grade A 13 / E 13 TVöD. Candidates with foreign degrees must provide official German recognition of their qualification.
