Job Summary
We are seeking a GeoIT Server Administrator to join the City Surveying Office in Stuttgart. In this role, you will be responsible for the system administration of servers for Geoinformation Systems, primarily Windows-based. Your duties will include the conceptualization, implementation, and further development of systems for monitoring, performance analysis, system testing, and IT security. You will also oversee the IT infrastructure for workstations and provide first and second-level support. This position offers the opportunity to step into a deputy leadership role for the GeoIT Server Administration unit, ensuring the operational continuity of the GeoIT server infrastructure and leading IT projects for system introductions and enhancements, particularly for Geoinformation Systems and specialized applications. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Geoinformatics, Informatics, or a comparable field with relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in server administration for Geoinformation Systems
- Experience in building and operating Geodata Infrastructures in enterprise environments
- Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Experience in IT project management
