Job Summary

As an IT Operations Specialist at the Brandenburg Medical School (MHB), you will be responsible for the administration and strategic development of the university's IT infrastructure, spanning network, server, on-premise, and cloud environments. Your daily activities involve managing enterprise networking technologies, ensuring high availability through proactive monitoring, and overseeing data backup and recovery processes. You will play a pivotal role in modernization projects, providing technical consultancy and implementing sustainable IT solutions for research, teaching, and administration. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a university degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT operations or a comparable position
  • Extensive experience with enterprise-level network technologies and security
  • Proven track record in managing virtualization, backup, and client management systems
  • Professional experience in Microsoft 365 environment administration
  • Experience working with Linux-based systems and open-source technologies
