Job Summary

This position is hosted at the Chair of Bioprospecting within the Center for Molecular Bioengineering (B CUBE) at TU Dresden. The successful candidate will contribute to the DFG-funded project 'Exploring the Morphogenesis of Omniphobic Nano-Ornamentations on the Springtail Cuticle.' Day-to-day responsibilities involve investigating the biological formation of nano-scaled surface structures on springtail exoskeletons using biochemical, genomic, transcriptomic, and cell biological tools. The role aims to unravel molecular mechanisms of bio-composite formation and surface omniphobicity. This is a highly collaborative position involving the IPF and Senckenberg Institute, offering access to state-of-the-art facilities for molecular bioscience. Candidates can join either as a PhD student (65% FTE) or a full-time Postdoc, providing an excellent opportunity for academic qualification and professional growth within a diverse, internationally recognized research environment in Dresden.
