Job Summary

This role at the Faculty of Computer Science at TU Dresden involves leading the digital transformation of administrative and academic processes. You will act as a strategic bridge between faculty leadership and IT operations, responsible for conceptualizing, implementing, and managing digital workflows. Your day-to-day will involve analyzing complex administrative processes, developing custom software solutions, and ensuring the security and stability of the faculty's IT infrastructure. You will also provide strategic advisory services to the dean's office and coordinate the faculty's IT personnel. This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to shape the digital future of a leading technical university, working in an international environment that is actively transitioning to bilingual (German/English) administrative operations. You will represent the faculty in university-wide IT committees, ensuring that technical needs are met while maintaining high standards of governance and IT security.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Administrative Informatics, or a related field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT infrastructure and process optimization
  • Experience in the analysis, planning, and implementation of IT systems
  • Professional experience in software development and project management
  • Experience in the public sector is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in leadership and personnel coordination

Additional

  • ITIL Foundations certification is desired. Familiarity with BSI-Standard 200-X, SächsDSDG, and GDPR (DSGVO) is required. Must be eligible to work in Germany.
