Job Summary

The Cluster of Excellence 'Physics of Life' at TU Dresden is seeking a highly motivated Technical Laboratory Assistant to join the 'Biophysical Mechanisms of Morphogenesis' research group. In this role, you will perform complex biochemical, biophysical, molecular, and cell biological experiments, including the preparation of recombinant DNA constructs and the cultivation of cell lines. A key part of your daily responsibilities involves the maintenance of Xenopus and zebrafish animal systems, alongside essential laboratory organization, supply procurement, and documentation. You will also provide guidance to students and trainees while supporting the team in achieving specific research goals. The ideal candidate holds vocational training as a BTA, CTA, or laboratory technician and possesses advanced knowledge in molecular and cell biology. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA), Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), or Biological/Chemical Laboratory Technician with state recognition or equivalent.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable research or laboratory environment
  • Professional experience with amphibian and fish animal systems
  • Professional experience in molecular and cell biology techniques
