Job Summary
As a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Land Dimension at the Cyber Innovation Hub of the Bundeswehr (CIHBw), you will serve as a critical bridge between the German Armed Forces and the international startup ecosystem. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve shaping and controlling the innovation portfolio specifically for land-based military capabilities. You will identify innovation campaigns, analyze capability requirements, and manage high-level stakeholders above the unit level. By evaluating conceptual documents and military trends, you will translate defense needs into agile innovation projects. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with deep military insight who wants to drive digital transformation within the public sector. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in a relevant field.
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience in the defense sector
- Professional experience as a military officer is highly preferred
- Deep understanding of military capabilities and operational principles in the land dimension
- Proven experience in structured, solution-oriented, and analytical work environments
- Experience collaborating with German defense authorities (e.g., BAAINBw, KdoH) is a plus
- Existing professional network within the Land Dimension is a plus
