Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field; alternatively, a qualification as a Technical Assistant for Metallography or Materials Analysis.

Experience

  • Relevant practical experience in materials science and engineering, specifically in destructive and non-destructive testing methods.
  • Professional experience in metallography, including sample preparation for metals, ceramics, and polymers.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating light and electron microscopes and digital image analysis systems.
  • Practical experience in heat treatment and the operation of heat treatment furnaces.
  • Experience in supporting students or teaching within a laboratory or academic setting.
