Job Summary

This role involves the hands-on execution of wafer processing within a state-of-the-art 800-square-meter cleanroom environment at the Fraunhofer Institute for Microelectronic Circuits and Systems (IMS). As a Microtechnologist, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of automated production equipment, following electronic Manufacturing Execution System (MES) guidelines to perform critical steps such as photolithography, etching, and thin-film deposition. You will work closely with scientific staff to support error analysis and process optimization while ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training as a Microtechnologist, Physics Laboratory Assistant, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in operating complex manufacturing machinery
  • Practical experience working under cleanroom conditions
  • Experience in MEMS, semiconductor, or optoelectronics manufacturing is preferred
  • Experience with quality control and process documentation via MES systems

Additional
