Job Summary

As a Quality Control Associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology (IZI) in Leipzig, you will play a vital role in the 'GMP Biopharmaceuticals' working group. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve planning and executing experimental projects to develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for modern biotechnological medicines. You will be responsible for conducting biochemical, cellular, and molecular biological analyses while ensuring all results are documented according to strict Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards. This role requires a high degree of independence as you research regulatory requirements, maintain SOPs, and oversee laboratory equipment. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Technical Assistant (MTA, BTA, CTA), Biology Laboratory Technician, or a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences.

Experience

  • Proven experience working under strict GMP conditions and documentation standards
  • Extensive practical experience in biochemical, cellular, and molecular biological analytical methods
  • Experience in developing, optimizing, and validating analytical experimental procedures
  • Experience in technical instruction or guidance of laboratory assistants
