Job Summary
This role at the Fraunhofer Institute for Photonic Microsystems (IPMS) involves the development and optimization of integration processes for MEMS and CMOS semiconductor components. You will work within a 200 mm cleanroom environment, handling the entire lifecycle from process planning and execution to error analysis and product qualification for external customers. Beyond technical execution, you will take on project management responsibilities, including risk management (FMEA), interdisciplinary team coordination, and technology transfer from research to production. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master/Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or a comparable field. A PhD is considered an advantage.
Experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience in microsystems technology with a focus on CMOS and/or MEMS
- Proven experience in designing integration processes and technologies for MEMS
- Experience in handling semiconductor manufacturing equipment and technologies
- Initial experience in independent project management and control
- Experience in quality assurance and error analysis within a production environment

Additional
- The position is initially limited to a 2-year contract with long-term employment intended. Location is in a 200 mm cleanroom environment. Weekly working time is 39 hours (part-time possible). Employment and salary are based on the TVöD public service collective agreement.
