Job Summary

As a Research Associate at the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Battery Cell Production FFB, you will play a pivotal role in the 'Digitalization of Battery Cell Production' department. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve designing and implementing data-driven use cases across the entire battery value chain, from raw material databases to finished cells. You will develop data preprocessing pipelines, build machine learning and AI models, and deploy these solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. This role requires close interdisciplinary collaboration with production experts to translate complex data into actionable industrial improvements. Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • Initial practical experience in the field of Data Science, specifically implementing data-driven use cases.
  • Experience in handling various database management systems including SQL, NoSQL, and time-series databases.
  • Professional experience or familiarity with digital production infrastructure such as MES, LIMS, or IIoT platforms.
  • Experience in the acquisition and coordination of national or international research and industry projects.
