Job Summary

The Chair of Compiler Construction at TUD Dresden University of Technology is seeking two Research Associates for the ERC-funded COMETH project. This role focuses on the long-term vision of shaping how future electronic systems are programmed, specifically targeting non-Von Neumann computing paradigms and extreme heterogeneity. Day-to-day, you will define novel programming methods and compiler infrastructures to deploy optimized software onto complex computing systems across embedded and high-performance domains. You will work to rethink compilation methodologies to hide hardware complexity while maximizing performance. This position is particularly attractive as it is part of a prestigious ERC Consolidator Grant project, offering the chance to work within a vibrant research community including the SCADS.AI center and the REC² Excellence Cluster. The roles are based in Dresden, a leading hub for microelectronics, and provide a collaborative environment for high-impact academic research through April 2031.
