Job Summary

This leadership role at the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) involves spearheading a newly formed team of eight employees focused on the digital transformation of departmental workflows. You will be responsible for analyzing and automating processes to implement the BSI Act and the KRITIS Umbrella Act, ensuring scalable and low-bureaucracy operations. A major component of the role is shaping cybersecurity for new NIS2 sectors, including the chemical, manufacturing, and research industries. You will act as a strategic bridge between internal stakeholders and economic actors, developing the BSI's role as a supervisory body for critical infrastructure. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or Diploma) in Economics, Natural Sciences, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or Law.

Experience

  • Professional experience in digitalization and process automation, specifically adapting software solutions for existing infrastructures
  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in the field of cybersecurity
  • Experience in regulatory environments and compliance
  • Proven experience in leading discussions and negotiations with executive management
  • Experience in team leadership and building modern organizational cultures
