Job Summary

This leadership role at the Müritz National Park Authority involves overseeing the department responsible for the long-term strategic development of one of Germany's most significant natural landscapes. You will lead the Regional Development and Infrastructure unit, managing the implementation and updates of the National Park Plan across critical areas such as land use, forest development, peatland restoration, and species management. Your day-to-day will involve providing technical guidance to lower nature conservation and forestry authorities, managing research and monitoring programs, and coordinating infrastructure for tourism. A key part of the role is fostering collaboration with regional stakeholders, municipalities, and associations. This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to manage a UNESCO World Heritage site, balancing high-level ecological planning with practical regional development in a modern administrative environment dedicated to climate protection and environmental sustainability.
