Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves managing the Department of Environmental Analysis and Radiation Protection within the State Office for Environment, Nature Conservation, and Geology (LUNG M-V), a key scientific-technical environmental authority. The manager is expected to operate with an administrative-wide perspective, understanding and actively shaping political processes to achieve coordinated departmental results. Day-to-day duties include comprehensive personnel leadership (motivation, appraisals, training), providing technical guidance to divisional leads, and overseeing work organization planning. Candidates must hold a scientific Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or a related field, possess extensive professional experience, and demonstrate proven leadership in managing large laboratories. This position, initially a two-year fixed-term appointment for leadership probation, requires strong decision-making skills, organizational acumen, and a high sense of responsibility.

Experience
