Job Summary

This role supports the 'BioDive4Soil' project at the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), focusing on a nationwide baseline survey of soil biodiversity to support climate change adaptation. As a Technical Laboratory Assistant, you will perform laboratory work related to soil ecosystem functions, including microbial respiration, aggregate stability, and enzyme activity. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve organizing soil samples, monitoring and documenting laboratory measurements, and conducting field work for soil sampling across various climate zones and land uses. You will also be responsible for data preparation and supervising student assistants. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training as a Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA), Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable professional qualification.

Experience

  • Experience in field work and soil sampling techniques
