Job Summary

This role involves the development and enhancement of the open-source library management system 'FOLIO' at Leipzig University Library. Working within a collaborative project alongside the SLUB Dresden and an international community, you will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle. Your daily tasks will include analyzing innovative technologies, designing backend and frontend functionalities, and developing software modules and interfaces. You will also participate in international working groups, create automated tests, and maintain technical documentation. This position is ideal for developers who enjoy working with modern microservice architectures and web technologies in a research-oriented, international environment. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, flexible working hours, and the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable, open-source solution that impacts the academic infrastructure of major German universities.
