Job Summary
This role involves leading the university-wide implementation of a modern Research Information System (FIS) at the University of Rostock. You will be responsible for the strategic planning, financial management, and coordination of the project, ensuring that research activities are centrally recorded and transparently mapped. Day-to-day tasks include system design, data modeling, and coordinating with IT service providers to integrate existing databases. You will also develop user training, workshops, and system documentation to support the university's academic and administrative staff. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master's, Diploma, or equivalent), ideally in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or Information Management.
Experience
- Professional experience in coordinating complex projects, preferably within a university or scientific environment
- Experience in strategic and conceptual work including financial and time planning
- Experience in system implementation, including requirements engineering and coordinating with IT providers
- Experience in conducting functional tests and data integration
- Experience in developing user support materials and conducting professional training

- The position is fixed-term until December 31, 2027. Due to legal requirements (§ 14 Abs. 2 TzBfG), candidates must not have had a previous employment relationship (fixed or permanent) with the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Part-time position at 30 hours per week.
