Job Summary

This role centers on managing vehicle type approval processes with a specific focus on emissions, CO2, energy efficiency, and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) for both conventional and new drive systems. As a Type Approval Manager, you will serve as a critical interface between internal development departments and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, testing services, and international subsidiaries. Your daily responsibilities include providing expert advice on regulatory changes, clarifying complex legal requirements, and maintaining essential IT applications for vehicle configuration. This position is particularly attractive due to its cross-functional nature, involving collaboration with production, finance, and strategy departments. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in dealing with regulations and communication with authorities is preferred
  • Experience in managing technical data related to vehicle emissions, range, and engine performance
  • Proven experience acting as a technical interface between internal departments and external regulatory bodies
  • Experience in the configuration and maintenance of specialized IT applications within a technical environment
