Job Summary
As a Sensor Development Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing sensor systems for actuators across various passenger car series, including battery-electric, hybrid, and conventional vehicles. Your daily responsibilities involve ensuring functional system integrity by considering all influencing factors and tolerances, while collaborating closely with component managers, signal customers, and suppliers. You will be actively involved in the practical side of engineering by conducting and evaluating test series in real driving conditions, on test benches, and in laboratory settings using specialized measurement technology. Beyond technical execution, you will develop series concepts, manage project budgets and timelines, and serve as a key representative and interface to development partners. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Vehicle Systems, Information Technology, Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in the development of sensor systems is required
- Experience in measurement data evaluation and analysis is preferred
- Experience in conducting and documenting test series in real driving conditions or on test benches
- Experience in cross-departmental collaboration and supplier management
Languages

- Permanent residency or valid work permit for Germany is implied for this permanent position. The role offers remote work options and requires the ability to work at various test locations and laboratories.
