Job Summary

As an Embedded Systems Engineer in the medical technology sector, you will be responsible for the development of active medical devices within a cross-functional project environment. Your daily activities will involve the entire product lifecycle, from requirement analysis and system architecture design to the development of PCBs and embedded software. You will lead projects from proof-of-concept through prototyping to series production, while also managing existing products through bug fixes and end-of-life management. A significant portion of the role involves ensuring compliance with strict medical regulations, including documentation and approval testing. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, 30 days of vacation, flexible working hours through a flexitime account, and the opportunity for remote work, all supported by a structured collective agreement (ver.di).

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in hardware and software development for analog and digital circuits
  • Experience in developing embedded systems, specifically with ARM Cortex architectures
  • Practical experience in PCB design and routing using Altium or Siemens PADS
  • Experience working within a regulated medical technology environment and associated standards
  • Experience in requirements analysis and system architecture design
