Job Summary

This position within the Saxony State Directorate (LDS) in Leipzig focuses on environmental protection and public welfare. As a Policy Advisor in the Immission Control unit, you will be responsible for drafting complex technical statements for permit and notification procedures under the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG). Your daily tasks will include monitoring industrial plants that require permits, with a specific focus on air pollution control. You will also handle legal appeals, provide expert opinions for court proceedings, and manage special cases such as environmental complaints. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape administrative practices in Saxony by contributing to fundamental legal questions and supervising lower-level immission control authorities. The position is attractive due to its permanent contract, flexible working hours with mobile work options, and the stability of the German public service (TV-L E 13). It is ideal for engineers or natural scientists looking to apply their technical expertise in a regulatory and legal context.
