Job Summary

This role sits within the Digitalization Office at Saarland University, a leading research institution known for its computer science focus. As a Digital Systems and Platforms Manager, you will drive the university's digital transformation by managing and evolving critical infrastructure for teaching and administration. Your daily responsibilities include the conceptual development and administration of the Microsoft 365 environment and the Moodle learning management system. You will act as a bridge between technical requirements and user needs, implementing new cloud services, developing integration scripts, and providing second-level support for staff and students. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working in a creative, implementation-oriented team. The role offers a secure public service contract (TV-L E11) with flexible working models, telecommuting options, and a family-friendly environment, initially for two years with a clear perspective for permanent employment.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; alternatively, a completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with relevant professional experience. Microsoft 365 certifications are preferred.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT or a related field
  • Proven experience in system management and administration
  • Practical experience in programming, scripting, and web development
