Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the staff unit for the technical management of immigration at the Kiel Immigration Office. You will be responsible for the strategic development and optimization of services, acting as a deputy to the department head. Your day-to-day tasks include evaluating legal precedents and legislation, translating complex legal requirements into actionable service standards, and developing internal work instructions and quality management concepts. Required Skills

Education

University degree with a minimum of 6 semesters (Bachelor or FH Diploma), or qualification for the first entry office of career group two in General Services (A 11 SHBesG), or completion of the Administrative Specialist Course II (Angestelltenlehrgang II).

Experience

  • At least 7 years of relevant professional experience based on the required educational background
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, which may include experience gained in a deputy or acting capacity
  • Extensive experience in the application and interpretation of legal regulations
  • Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and controlling administrative workflows

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Participation in on-call duty (Rufbereitschaft) is required. The position is available as full-time or part-time, provided full-day coverage is maintained. Applicants must meet all criteria by the end of the application period (March 8, 2026).
