Job Summary

As a Lead Test Engineer, you will spearhead combustion testing operations at the Clean Energy Center in Ludwigsfelde and the DLR in Cologne. Your daily responsibilities include preparing and executing complex tests involving various fuels such as hydrogen, fuel oil, and LPG, while closely monitoring control systems and flame stability. You will act as the central point of contact for advanced optical flame monitoring systems and lead cross-functional, international teams from Germany, the USA, Sweden, and the UK. This role is unique for its hands-on involvement in decarbonization technology and the opportunity to manage high-stakes testing campaigns for gas turbine components. You will be responsible for resource planning, schedule management, and conducting lessons-learned workshops to ensure process safety and continuous improvement. The position offers a dynamic environment where you directly contribute to the energy transition through innovative testing and digitalization of the gas turbine fleet.
