Job Summary

This role is part of the Research Training Group GRK 2868 D³ at TUD Dresden University of Technology, focusing on the 'Data-driven Design of Resilient Metamaterials'. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will lead a research project designed to bridge scales through advanced physics-based and data-driven models, developing efficient inverse design techniques for mechanical metamaterials. Your day-to-day will involve promoting multilateral scientific exchange, developing interdisciplinary approaches at the interface of computational mechanics and materials science, and participating in an international mentoring program. Required Skills

Education

Excellent university degree and a PhD degree, ideally in Computational Mechanics or Computational Materials Science.

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific research within an academic environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in computational mechanics or materials science modeling
  • Proven track record of scientific publications and citations
  • Experience in interdisciplinary project work at the interface of mechanics and materials science
