Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join DB Systemtechnik in Berlin, contributing to the modernization and digitalization of Germany's rail fleet. As a (Junior) Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for developing electrical designs using E³ software and creating assemblies for rolling stock, specifically focusing on redesigns and modernization projects like the Berlin S-Bahn. You will play a key role in cutting-edge initiatives such as the 'Digital Rail Hamburg' project for autonomous driving. Your day-to-day will involve creating standardized documentation, overseeing prototype production in workshops, and conducting operational testing. This position is ideal for motivated engineers who enjoy problem-solving and learning, offering a structured onboarding process with an experienced mentor. You will act as a solution-oriented expert, coordinating with internal partners and external suppliers to implement new design and technology trends across the fleet.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, Rail Vehicle Technology, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Professional experience or initial exposure to testing devices/systems or technical design is advantageous
- Experience in creating norm-compliant documentation such as drawings, process descriptions, and commissioning instructions
- Proven ability to develop alternative technical solutions and handle complex troubleshooting
- Experience in coordinating work packages with customers and external suppliers
