Job Summary

As an R&D Specialist in HPLC, you will play a pivotal role within the Instrumental Analytics - Spectrometry and Separation Science department at Roche. Your daily responsibilities will involve addressing complex analytical challenges beyond routine tasks, specifically focusing on the development and optimization of robust methods to characterize chemical and biochemical raw materials. You will be responsible for planning and executing sophisticated chromatographic and spectrometric analyses, including HPLC, UPLC, and ESI-MS. A key part of the role involves validating these methods and ensuring their successful transfer to other departments like Quality Control. Additionally, you will handle raw data evaluation, technical documentation in both German and English, and the maintenance/troubleshooting of complex analytical instrumentation.
