Job Summary

This two-year trainee position at the LWL Museum of Natural History offers a comprehensive professional foundation for a career in cultural institutions. As a Museum Education Trainee, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualizing and preparing educational programs for upcoming special exhibitions, including themes such as 'Survival between Dinosaurs and Scale Trees' and 'Sounds - The World Rings.' Your day-to-day work involves executing and evaluating existing educational offerings and implementing multimedia tours within the museum's mobile application. This role is unique for its focus on both traditional pedagogy and modern digital mediation, providing a 360-degree view of museum operations. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Master, Magister, Diploma, or State Examination) in Natural Sciences, preferably Biology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in museum or environmental education is highly desirable
  • Experience in conceptualizing and evaluating educational programs
  • Proven track record of organizational and planning skills
  • Experience in collaborative team environments and creative project work
