Job Summary

As an IT Service Management Expert at BWI, you will play a critical role in ensuring the digital future-readiness of the German Federal Armed Forces. You will be responsible for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and monitoring of release processes for cross-sectional applications. Your day-to-day activities include creating detailed application update schedules, moderating coordination meetings with stakeholders, and managing maintenance windows. Additionally, you will provide 2nd level support, perform error analysis, and develop training materials and documentation. This role is unique for its direct impact on Germany's national security infrastructure, offering the chance to work on one of the country's most complex IT landscapes. The position is ideal for professionals who excel at the intersection of technical operations and stakeholder communication, providing high-level consultancy on release process design and continuous service improvement (CSI).

Required Skills

Education

Completed 3-year technical vocational training plus additional qualification (e.g., Specialist, Technician, Master Craftsman) or a completed university degree in a relevant field.

Experience

  • 5 years of professional experience in a technical or specialist role (with vocational qualification) or 2 years of professional experience following a university degree
  • Professional experience in conducting training and communication-related tasks
  • Proven experience in release management and process documentation
  • Experience in 2nd level support, error analysis, and classification
  • Experience in coordinating complex IT structures and application updates
